Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana’s Jackie and Granberry Units were recently informed that they were awarded a $5,000 grant form Community Foundation of Acadiana’s DONORSense Profile Grant Competition. Grants funds are being utilized to implement a Music Makers and Digital Arts program within the clubs. The Music Makers program will allow teen participants to learn music production and event planning. The Digital Arts component of the grant will allow members to learn artistic concepts and technology skills to create professional-quality print materials.
These programs are a very exciting and innovative way to get and keep teens involved in the Boys & Girls Club. This initiative will afford our clubs the opportunity to purchase necessary equipment, supplies and materials needed to take the clubs’ technology programs to another level. If interested in learning more information about the Music Makers Program please contact Ceria Davis at (337) 232-6401, and if interested in the Digital Arts program please contact Haley Cox at (337) 988-2582.
