The 86th Major League Baseball All-Star Game will take place tonight, July 14 at the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati. Once again, in our 19th year as the Official Charity of MLB, Boys & Girls Clubs will be featured prominently throughout the festivities. Over 500 local Club kids will participate in a variety of exciting activities, including serving as flag bearers and receiving free dental screenings. In a pregame ceremony, National Youth of the Year Maryah Sullivan will deliver the ceremonial game ball to the mound. Plus, the Reds and MLB are helping the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati build a new activity center with triple the capacity of the current facility.
Over the course of this amazing partnership, MLB has created more than 50 PSAs that have aired throughout the regular season and post-season, generating millions of dollars’ worth of brand exposure for BGCA. We are thrilled to announce that the tradition continues, with a new TV spot that debuted last night during the Home Run Derby on ESPN, and will air again tonight during the All-Star Game on FOX (Live at 7:30 p.m. EDT). Featuring a terrific ambassador for our partnership, Chris Archer of the Tampa Bay Rays, and members of the Pinellas Park unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sun Coast, the spot highlights the life-changing impact of the Club experience.
