Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana CEO, Missy Bienvenu Andrade, Named Chief Impact Officer for Louisiana

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana (BGCA) announces that Missy Bienvenu Andrade has been named the first Chief Impact Officer for the Boys & Girls Clubs in Louisiana.

As Chief Impact Officer, Andrade is responsible for leading the organization to carry out the Boys & Girls Clubs mission state-wide and grow the reach and influence of the Boys & Girls Clubs in Louisiana. Her role will include fundraising and marketing to raise awareness of the work and mission of the organization. Additionally, Andrade will serve on the Executive Committee for each Boys & Girls Clubs chapter.

Andrade has served as CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs in Acadiana over the past three years, overseeing operations in St. Landry, Iberia, Vermilion, and Lafayette parishes. During her tenure, she managed a $2 million budget and expanded to a 6th club site to serve nearly 5,000 youth in her region. Andrade led the expansion into two new regions as well. In January, Andrade’s team opened the Cheniere Energy Club in Lake Charles, a community desperate for the programs offered by Boys & Girls Clubs after seeing multiple hurricanes in the past year amid the pandemic. A club site in Natchitoches, LA is set to open early next year.

Andrade acknowledged the support she has received from the Board and staff at Boys & Girls Clubs in Acadiana and is eager to continue to serve kids in Louisiana at a state-wide level. “I am elated to step into the Louisiana Chief Impact Officer role after three incredible years with Boys & Girls Clubs in Acadiana,” said Andrade. “I am especially grateful for my Board of Directors and the BGC Acadiana Team for their dedication and commitment to our Clubs and Club families during a transformational time in our organization’s history. Young people across our state deserve access to safe, high quality after-school and summer programs and I look forward to working with our Boys & Girls Clubs in Louisiana Board, regional Club Boards, and local organizations to support those efforts and to expand our reach and impact.”

Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana Board Chairman Ben Lognion is excited about the opportunities for statewide funding available to Acadiana through Andrade’s new position. “Our Board of Directors feels confident that with this new statewide position, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana as well as other Boys & Girls Clubs throughout the state, will continue to grow and expand to serve more kids.”

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana begins its search for a new CEO to continue the progress and growth started by Andrade. “Under Missy’s leadership, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana has experienced strong growth, all in the spirit of creating high-quality Clubs for our young people. Our board is committed to finding a CEO that can continue the great momentum and take the organization to the next level.”

An executive search for Andrade’s replacement is underway and she will assist in the transition to new leadership over the next 6 weeks. Those interested in applying for the position, visit https://www.bgcacadiana.com/career-opportunities
