Planned

Giving

By including Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana in your estate plan, you ensure that generations of children and teens can benefit from the Club’s life-changing programs and services. For more information, please contact Rhyan Wheeler rwheeler@bgcacadiana.com

Matched

Contribution

Double or even triple the impact of your gift by leveraging your employer’s matching gift program to support Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana. Ask your employer if they will match your donation!

Donate Stocks & Mutual Funds

The gift of an asset, often common stock or mutual fund shares, is a valuable way to make a contribution to Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana and potentially receive tax benefits based on the value of the asset(s). Contact Rhyan Wheeler at 337-268-9555 for more information.

Charitable IRA Rollover

If you are 70-1/2 or older, you can transfer up to $100,000 each year directly from your IRA to charity and it is not recognized as income to you. Talk to your financial advisor about making a contribution.

Donor Advised Funds

A donor-advised fund is a little like a personal charitable savings account. You can create an account and make contributions of cash, stock, or other assets like real estate or artwork and can take an immediate tax deduction for the gift. You can create a Donor Advised Fund at Community Foundation of Acadiana.

Corporate Giving

CARES Act

For corporations, the CARES Act has increased the cap on deductibility of donations up to 25% on gross income of the corporation. For food donations, the corporate cap has also been increased from 15% to 25%. This allows corporations to make an even bigger impact through charitable giving.

In-Kind Donations

COVID-19 Update: Due to the current pandemic, we are limited in the items we can accept. You are welcome to reach out to see if we can accept your donation. We welcome contributions of materials, goods, and services that help us reduce our costs and continue to provide high-quality programs for youth in Acadiana. We accept computers, tablets, commercial-grade recreation equipment, furniture, art supplies, books, tickets to child-friendly events, school supplies, and pro-bono services. Please note that all donations are subject to review. Contact Rhyan Wheeler at rwheeler@bgcacadiana.com to learn more about what we currently accept.

CARES Act Benefits for Year-End Gifts

Did you know that because of the CARES Act, you can take BIGGER charitable deductions this year to help your Clubs, whether you take the standard deduction or itemize? Are you considering contributing your IRA rollover and/or income tax this year?

It's important that you know:

·    If you itemize deductions, you can take advantage of CARES Act charitable deductions up to 100% of your income allowed in 2020.

·    If you take the standard deduction, you have up to $300 above the line “universal” deduction available this year.

"Information provided above does not substitute for the advice of your tax advisor or attorney. Please see your tax advisor or attorney for full advice on implications of the CARES Act."
