Lafayette, LA – On May 8th, members of Junior League of Lafayette joined forces with the staff of Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana for the grand opening of the Care Closet at the Jackie Club. This collaborative effort aims to provide essential resources for families and club members in time of need.
The Care Closet initiative, formed by the President’s Signature Project for year 66, exemplifies the power of community partnerships. Stocked with a variety of items including food, toiletries, daily necessities, toys, books, and school uniforms, the Closet stands with the mission of the Club to provide all resources to its members and families, especially the ones who need them most.
Eboney Breaux, Director of the Jackie Club, expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the Junior League, emphasizing their invaluable contributions. “We cannot thank you enough for your dedication and making our vision come true,” she remarked.
Roya Boustany, President of Junior League of Lafayette, and former Board Member of Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana expresses the importance of Boys & Girls Club in the community. “Boys & Girls Club is an essential and vital part of our community. We thank you, Boys & Girls Club, and appreciate the work you do. We are proud to be a part of the movement,” Boustany affirmed.
